This part is especially from mama, thank you for loving me and staying close to me when I needed you.  No words could say how much happier  you made my life. I will cherish those days as long as I live.

She was ( and will remain ) a beautifully spirited dog who lived a lovely life in the Dordogne Valley in South West France wirth her friends and loved people but kept away from dogs she didn’t know.

She was ( and still is ) a tough cookie and fought to the very end but we had no other choice but to let her cross the rainbow bridge to be with her friends again.

She was one of the most friendly dogs I have ever met and even now, one week later she is sadly missed.

He was a smart and crafty dog but a bit of a delinquent. His escapades led to a poisoning and a gunshot wound, both of which he barely survived. The irretrievable bullet in his heart helped ensure an illicit weapon confiscation and turned his shooter from a dog hater into a dog lover who now owns two. It also made Miki known as the bullet-proof dog at the local police department and neighbourhood. A legend.

He disliked other dogs and street cats but had much patience for his chosen humans, our other pets and most of all the children. He hated when we went to school/work so, to keep us home longer he would sometimes steal and bury our car keys and phones in the yard. He sat up with us and comforted us when times were hard. We will never forget our small dog with a huge heart. I hope to see him again one day, on the other side.

Miki is missing for 10 years now but for us he is never really gone. Because…how do you even say goodbye to someone like that? So special.

RIP Miki and thank you for everything 2006-2013

After an attempt to save them, the sister did not survive. Taken in by the shelter of “our friends for life” where I was volunteering, I instantly fell in love with this dog. I gave him all my love and tenderness, I cared for him daily.

Nikita gently started walking again, then running in the Saharan sands, helped by his two new adopted sisters. We became inseparable, we were now a pack. We lived 10 months of intense and magnificent adventures. Arrived in Switzerland, my beloved Nikita, from the height of his 18 months, regained his best health: he was beautiful, he was sublime, he was kind and gentle. independent and at the same time extremely close to his sisters and me. his resilience never ceased to amaze me… how could a dog who had suffered so much mistreatment be so kind to humans as well as to his peers? but fate decided that our paths would separate prematurely and make this life together an adventure as intense as it was ephemeral. after 1 week of fighting against parvovirus, Nikita left us, giving me one last gift, that of dying the day before I was faced with the atrocious decision of choosing between relentlessness and euthanasia. Nikita left us on a sunny Sunday morning from a pulmonary hemorrhage. I had never loved a dog so much. I loved his quiet strength, his courage, his independence and his intelligence.

Now resting peacefully in the garden, Tyson lies beside Snoop, where they are surrounded by the glow of around 220 solar lights that illuminate their resting place each night as the sun sets, lighting up the entire garden in their honor.

Tyson’s light will continue to shine, forever bright in the hearts of those who loved him.
